Road Trip...

We took a "little trip" to Panama City, Florida to purchase our 1998 "Rossy".  Here's Cath and I waiting for the Trailer Manufacturer to finish up the final fit of our new trailer on purchase day. 30 hours later, we were back home. It was an 82 hour, 2,400 mile, 200 gallon diesel road trip. Don't plan on doing that again...

Our last cruising boat was a 31' trailerable trimaran that we named "kimosabi" (Kemo Sabe), which means friend. Cathie's Dad' s nick name is Buddy, which also means friend. We've decided to name our Rossy "Buddy".
Here is Roy and Darlene, the original owners of "Peanut", standing with Cathie. It's heartening to meet such good People... Thanks to them for taking such super care of the Rossy!!!
We almost had to launch the boat to make it through Nashville...

This morning our new friend sits in our driveway. It's raining and 39 degrees. When we left Panama City, it was pushing 90...

  1. "Buddy" is quite the departure from "Kimosabi", the difference is like day & night. Is that what happens when you get old? You trade-in sleek & fast sailboat for a comfortable, spacious powerboat?
