We headed across Lake Michigan, originally planing on stopping in Leland, midway we decided to go the full way to Charlevoix. We did 100 KM in 8.5 hours. The Yamahas never missed a beat.
We anchored in Round Lake the 1st night and caught up with Les and Barb on Noor, an F-31 like our previous boat. Thursday was rainy and storms were forecast so we took a dock for the night at Northwest Marina, as the City dock in Round Lake was over capacity because of the Venetian Festival. Friday morning we invited Les and Barb to join us for a lunch cruise to East Jordan. There were some very nice properties along the way down the west arm of Lake Charlelvoix....We had lunch, did some sight seeing and then headed back. Barb and Les own a Gemini 105MC kept in Florida, so I thought a photo to be appropriate....
Friday night we anchored back in Round Lake and enjoyed the fireworks while sharing dinner with Barb and Les. Saturday morning we pulled up anchor at 6:30 AM, passed the Noor about an hour out and dropped a hook in Peterson Bay of Washington Island at 12:30. We had lunch, then headed to Fish Creek, arriving about 5 PM.
Monday, I hauled the boat, changed the oil and filters and gave Buddy a Collinite wax job and STRIPES!!
