I removed the connecting rod so we can limp back "home" today. The thirteen year old nuts that hold the tiller arm on disintegrated... The studs on the engine need to be re-threaded to accept new nuts to hold the arm in place. I think I can do this with the boat in the water. Looks like I will own two tap and die sets as mine is in my shop back home...
My engines have a nifty rod connecting them so they both go the same direction
